ENVIRONMENTAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Since 2004, 3663 have been working with own brand/label suppliers to provide support and guidance to help them improve their environmental performance, thereby ensuring that all of its impacts on the environment are minimised. 3663’s goal is to ‘influence and support our suppliers in the reduction of their environmental impacts and improve the environmental value of our own brand/label products”.

A Supplier Environmental Performance Questionnaire is distributed annually to suppliers and this allows 3663 to monitor environmental improvements within the supply chain and assess where improvements or help is needed; this help is then offered through the 3663 Supplier Environmental Performance Improvement (SEPI) Scheme.

The SEPI Scheme has been designed to help guide our suppliers through implementing an EMS, using a staged approach. The scheme is voluntary but all own brand/label suppliers are encouraged to register within it as there are a number of benefits that can be gained from taking part. The intended outcome of this initiative will be an environmental aware own brand supplier network with a real commitment to establishing EMS's certified to ISO 14001 or EMAS.

3663 have also been working with Envirowise as a host company Supply Chain Partnership Forum for two years. Envirowise provides experts to help host companies and their suppliers identify initiatives to improve resource efficiency and reduce costs that will benefit from a partnership approach as well as providing advice and training workshops.
