DEPOT RECOGNITION
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE 2008
Environmental standards have been consistently high this year and there were a number of sites nominated for the site of excellence. LEE MILL DEPOT were the overall winners with LONDON CITY DEPOT and BIRMINGHAM DEPOT coming in second and third. Shaun Foley, Director of Operations-Logistics at 3663, presented the site with their specially commissioned award, produced from a sustainable wood source.
AWARD FOR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENT 2008
3663 strives for continuous improvement within its environmental management system and an award was introduced in 2007 to reward those sites who had made greatest overall improvement in environmental performance.
Six sites were short-listed for the award with ABINGDON DEPOT being the successful winners for 2008.
SUPPLIER ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE RECOGNITION AWARD 2008
The Supplier Environmental Performance Recognition Award recognises the achievements being made within the supply chain with regards to environmental performance improvement. All suppliers who are registered within the 3663 Supplier Environmental Performance Improvement Scheme are eligible to take part. The award criteria was based around the 3663 pillars of sustainability; people, product and environment.
THE AUTHENTIC FOOD COMPANY were the successful winners; demonstrating strong environmental commitment and improvement as well as being deeply committed to developing and training their employees and engaging with the local community.
